In the Rivne region, law enforcement officials uncovered a secret drug laboratory organized by a 37-year-old resident of Rivne. The man ordered precursors and chemical reagents for drug production via the internet, receiving them by mail. He set up the laboratory in a private house belonging to his accomplice, and the criminal profit from drug sales reached 4.5 million hryvnias per month.

The perpetrator involved several accomplices in his business. One of them provided the premises for the laboratory and financed the purchase of necessary equipment and materials. Other members of the group were directly involved in the production of psychotropic substances and their large-scale distribution to drug-dependent individuals and dealers in the region.
During operational activities, employees of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of the Rivne region documented the production and sale of over one kilogram of methamphetamine by the group members.
Law enforcement officials managed to halt the activities of the drug laboratory and shut down the channel for distributing the psychotropic substance. As a result of 17 authorized searches in Rivne and the Rivne region, the suspects were found with:
- methamphetamine ready for sale,
- substances and precursors for drug production,
- laboratory equipment,
- packaging materials,
- mobile phones and bank cards,
- cash obtained from illegal activities.
Based on the collected evidence, investigators announced suspicions against four members of the criminal group. Their actions were classified under the articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Part 2 and 3 of Article 307 (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment, or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs),
- Part 1 of Article 317 (organization or maintenance of places for the illegal use, production, or manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs).
Preventive measures have been chosen for all suspects.
