Last night in Lviv, a tragedy occurred: a 30-year-old local man attacked a military officer from the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, inflicting a knife wound during a document check, and also used a gas canister to escape.

The attacker assaulted soldier Yuriy Bondarenko, causing him serious injuries, including damage to his aorta, and struck senior soldier Vasyl Malyuk in the head. After committing the crime, he fled the scene.
The injured soldier Yuriy Bondarenko was urgently taken to the hospital; however, despite the efforts of the medical staff, he died from massive blood loss. It is known that Bondarenko was a participant in combat operations and continued to serve in the units of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.
The perpetrator has been apprehended.
