In the Rivne region, military personnel who have returned from captivity receive comprehensive support through 80 institutions across 22 regions of Ukraine.

Among the institutions in Rivne that participate in this initiative are:
- Rivne Regional Clinical Hospital named after Yuriy Semeniuk;
- Rivne Regional Center for Mental Health;
- Rivne Regional Hospital for War Veterans;
- Dubno City Hospital.
The process of supporting freed defenders includes several stages:
- immediately after release, a medical examination is conducted;
- if the condition is stable, the military personnel are directed to reintegration centers;
- in these centers, a complete examination is carried out and an individual treatment plan is developed.
In particular, various types of assistance are provided:
- medical: tests, examinations, and treatment;
- psychological: work with trauma, stress, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD);
- rehabilitation: restoration of bodily functions;
- social: document processing and provision of benefits.
