Another heavy loss for the Sarny community…

It is known about the death of 40-year-old serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Yarotsky, who was born and raised in Sarny. He studied at Sarny Gymnasium No. 5, where he spent his childhood and youth, shaping his sincere, open, and hardworking character.
Oleksandr worked at a car service in Kyiv, where he earned the respect of his colleagues due to his professionalism, integrity, and humanity.
When the war came to Ukraine, he did not stand aside. Initially, he helped as a volunteer, repairing vehicles for the front, returning them to service so they could once again serve the defenders.
Later, Oleksandr decided to become part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving as a driver in the airborne assault unit of military unit A7788.
In February 2025, communication with him was lost, and his family waited, holding onto hope and prayers for his return.
In January 2026, tragic news of his death emerged. Oleksandr was killed on February 13, 2025, defending Ukraine, its freedom, and its future.
The Hero is survived by his wife Olha and their young son Oleksandr.
Farewell and burial will take place tomorrow, February 4.

- 10:15 AM – farewell at home (Polska St., 23)
- 11:00 AM – memorial service at the Church of the Pochaiv Icon of the Mother of God (Kotliarevskogo St.)
- 12:15 PM – burial at the Alley of Heroes (Sharpyka St.)
