For a long time, Serhiy was considered missing in action, as his body could not be evacuated due to constant shelling. However, his comrades, refusing to leave Serhiy on the battlefield, were only able to bring him home after a difficult special operation and demining of the area on their third attempt.
Serhiy is survived by his wife and three children: a 16-year-old daughter, a 14-year-old son, and a youngest daughter who is only 7 years old.
Mykola Halchuk, born on November 6, 1966, in the city of Dubno, attended local school No. 8 and the Dubno Vocational Technical School. After getting married, he moved to the village of Rachyn, where he raised two children and had grandchildren. He worked as a driver.
With the onset of the large-scale invasion by Russia, Mykola did not hesitate to defend Ukraine. He was called up for military service on March 12, 2022. He was known as a kind, sincere, and open person, whose humanity and hard work always earned him respect among his comrades. Mykola knew how to support, help, and find kind words for everyone. Unfortunately, his heart stopped on September 6, 2025, in Sumy Oblast due to acute cardiovascular failure.
Our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones. Eternal memory and glory to the defenders!
