On October 11 at 15:40, a message was received by the duty mountain search and rescue unit at the “Zaroslyak” post from a tourist from Rivne, born in 2003. While descending from Hoverla Mountain via the green route, he lost his bearings due to deteriorating weather conditions (drizzle, fog) and got lost.
Communication was maintained with the rescuers, and his location coordinates were established. The rescuers promptly arrived to assist and escorted the tourist to the sports base “Zaroslyak”.
