Fatal Collision with a Pedestrian
The accident occurred on December 4 at around 4:30 PM on the “Horodyshche-Rivne-Staro Konstantyniv” highway near the village of Kruhly.

According to preliminary data from the investigator, the driver of a “Moskvič” car, a 37-year-old resident of Rivne, struck a 73-year-old pedestrian who was standing at the edge of the roadway with a bicycle in hand.
As a result of the accident, the man sustained multiple injuries and was urgently hospitalized. Unfortunately, despite the resuscitation efforts, the victim died in the hospital less than a day later.
According to the examination, the driver of the car was sober, which rules out the possibility of alcohol intoxication.
Investigation of the Circumstances of the Accident
The investigator has initiated a pre-trial investigation into the violation of traffic safety rules that led to the victim’s death.
