Today, November 12, around 06:30 on the “Kyiv-Kovel-Yahodin” highway near Sarny, a traffic accident occurred.

According to preliminary investigation data, a 47-year-old driver of a “Volkswagen Touareg,” a resident of Kyiv region, collided with a passenger car “VAZ” while attempting to overtake. The driver of the “VAZ,” who was traveling in the same direction, was turning left at that time. As a result of the impact, the SUV went off the road into the ditch.
As a result of the accident, both the driver of the “Volkswagen” and his 17-year-old daughter sustained injuries. Medical professionals diagnosed them both with spinal fractures. The driver of the “VAZ,” a 36-year-old resident of the village of Obirky in the Sarny territorial community, was not injured.
An investigator has initiated a pre-trial investigation into the violation of traffic safety rules. Biological samples have been taken from both drivers for further analysis.
