In early April 2026, the Presidium of the Political Council of the ‘Batkivshchyna’ party made a decision to expel several deputies from the Rivne Regional Council.

This was reported on May 19 by Ukrainian MP Serhiy Yevtushok.
He noted that the main reason for these actions was the positive voting by deputies for a decision of the Rivne Regional Council, which involves the reorganization (liquidation) of a number of educational institutions that provide education for children with hearing, vision, and other disabilities.
“It is a pity that several deputies of the Rivne Regional Council from our faction decided to go against the community and voted contrary to the general position of the ‘Batkivshchyna’ party,” Yevtushok stated.
It is known that the Presidium of the Political Council decided to terminate the membership in the ‘Batkivshchyna’ party for Mykola Kucheruk, Ruslana Konoshchuk, and Alla Cherniy. A decision was also made to disband the ‘Batkivshchyna’ faction in the Rivne Regional Council and to initiate the procedure for recalling deputies by popular initiative, including Oleksandr Tkach, Mykola Dobrydnіk, and Svitlana Levytska.
In total, the ‘Batkivshchyna’ faction in the Rivne Regional Council consists of 9 deputies. Currently, Tymoshenko has left Vasyl Klyop, Roman Rudenko, and Mykola Draganchuk in the deputy corps.
