Valeriy Krivtsov, Distinguished Scientist, Passed Away in Rivne

On November 29, 2025, after a prolonged serious illness, Valeriy Volodymyrovych Krivtsov, Associate Professor of the Department of Architectural Design Fundamentals, Construction, Design, and Graphics at the National University of Water Management and Nature Management, Candidate of Technical Sciences, passed away.

Valeriy Volodymyrovych was born on September 20, 1954, in the city of Rivne. After graduating from secondary school No. 15 in Rivne, he enrolled in the Mechanical Faculty of the Ukrainian Institute of Water Management Engineers, which he successfully completed in 1976.

From 1976 to 1980, Krivtsov worked in the research sector, where he actively participated in the execution of contractual works approved by the State Planning Committee of Ukraine.

From 1980 to 1983, he studied in graduate school, and after completing it, began working in the Department of Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Graphics. In 1986, Valeriy Volodymyrovych defended his candidate dissertation at the Kyiv Engineering and Construction Institute.

Since 1989, he served as an associate professor in various departments: first in the Department of Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Graphics, then in the Department of Theoretical Mechanics, Engineering Graphics, and Machine Science, and most recently worked in the Department of Architectural Design Fundamentals, Construction, Design, and Graphics.

Valeriy Krivtsov is the author of 15 textbooks, three of which are endorsed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, as well as 11 patents for inventions. He published over 250 scientific and methodological works, five of which are included in the Scopus scientific and metric database.

For his scientific activities, he was awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Rivne Regional State Administration and certificates from the National University of Water Management and Nature Management.
