Veres Academy U16 and U17 reach the quarter-finals of the National Future League

Two teams from the football academy of the people’s club Veres have reached the quarter-finals of the Elite League of the National Future League.

The Veres Academy U15 team, led by coach Bohdan Svystun, suffered another defeat away with a score of 1:4 after a home loss to Lviv by the same score, concluding their season.

Meanwhile, two other teams from Rivne continue their fight. The Veres Academy U16 players, coached by Mykola Okereshko, after a 0:0 draw at home in the first match of the Round of 16 against VIK-Volodymyr, won in a penalty shootout 5:4, as the regular time also ended in a draw.

The Veres Academy U17 team, led by Oleksandr Zubko, after a home victory over Lviv’s Karpaty with a score of 1:0, demonstrated an even more impressive performance, defeating their opponents in Lviv with a score of 3:1.

In the quarter-finals of the Elite League playoffs of the National Future League, Veres Academy U16 will face Odesa’s Chornomorets, while the U17 team will compete against Kharkiv’s Metalist 1925. The matches are scheduled for May 16 and 23.
