In September, a 52-year-old resident of the village of Novomylsk reported to the police that his bicycle had been stolen while he was in a store.
Law enforcement quickly established that a 20-year-old resident of the village of Zdolbytsia might be involved in the crime. During a search of his home, he voluntarily handed over the stolen bicycle.
Investigators have already informed the young man of his suspicion. The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of bail, which he has not paid.
The offender has a history of committing crimes, as he has been convicted multiple times. Most recently, he was serving a sentence in July of this year for crimes related to violations of life and health, as well as against sexual freedom. Currently, two more criminal proceedings regarding thefts committed by him are under consideration in court.
