The youth, including internally displaced persons, had the chance to gain a deeper understanding of Ukrainian folk traditions and to learn about the art and history of our region.
As part of the event, participants crafted Ukrainian amulets by hand. Among the most popular were the traditional Christmas sheaf — Kolyada, which symbolizes prosperity and family unity, as well as the motanka doll, passed down from generation to generation. The young artisans also demonstrated how to create the dudyka-vykrutka — an ancient musical instrument from Polissya.
