A resident of the village of Znosychi in the Sarny district used a scanner to create a digital copy of her pension certificate. Using Photoshop, she made alterations to the document.
Specifically, the woman changed the indicated III group of disability to II, after which she printed the forged document.
Next, she obtained a certificate from the Rivne Regional Medical and Social Expert Commission regarding the examination act, where in column 8 it stated “Third group of disability.” Then, using a correction fluid, she altered this information to indicate “Second.”
After that, the forged documents were handed over to the woman’s son, who planned to present them at the territorial recruitment center to obtain a deferment from service.
However, the perpetrator was charged with document forgery, and the court found her guilty. She was fined 8,500 hryvnias.
The “Canon” printer used to produce the copies was returned to its owner.
