The 28-year-old suspect is currently being held in a temporary detention facility under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He faces a prison sentence of 5 to 8 years.

The incident took place on Kyiv Street on January 24 at around 2 a.m., when a witness alerted law enforcement about a fight between two men.
It was revealed that during a conflict arising from domestic reasons, the 28-year-old attacker inflicted several knife wounds on his 37-year-old friend, one of which was penetrating to the abdomen.
The investigator has informed the perpetrator of the suspicion. Thanks to prompt intervention, the victim’s life is currently not in danger.
