Rescuers in Rivne are urging citizens to avoid prolonged exposure to the cold, dress warmly, refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages while outside in the cold, and to closely monitor children and the elderly.

The first case occurred in the village of Stara Rafalivka in the Varash district, where a woman born in 1954 suffered frostbite of both lower limbs, second degree.
The second case was recorded in the town of Volodymyrets in the Varash district – a man born in 2004 also suffered frostbite of both lower limbs, second degree.
All victims were hospitalized in medical facilities in the region, where they are receiving necessary medical assistance.
Since the beginning of the year, 33 people have suffered from hypothermia in Rivne, including 1 child. 3 individuals have died.
