According to preliminary investigation data, the driver of the “Skoda” car, a 35-year-old resident of Berezne, struck a 10-year-old girl from the village of Balashivka. The child suddenly rode her bicycle into the oncoming lane while trying to bypass a parked car.
As a result of the traffic accident, the girl sustained serious injuries, including a skull fracture and a concussion, and was urgently hospitalized.
According to the examination results, the driver of the car was sober at the time of the incident.
The investigator has initiated a pre-trial investigation for violating traffic safety rules that resulted in serious injuries to the child.
