Despite updates to legislation, cases of unauthorized extraction are still being discovered. Instances of illegal logging have been recorded, which are currently under investigation by the police, and some cases are in the judicial process.
During a meeting of the working group, further steps were discussed to enhance control and eliminate gaps that allowed certain entities to operate outside the law.
Additionally, the composition of the regional and district working groups has been updated, which will also contribute to improving interaction with law enforcement and communities.
For each identified violation, the working group will respond in accordance with the law. In the case of illegal extraction, the initiation of revocation of special permits may be possible.
