In the war against the Russian occupier, Mystyslav Anatoliyovych Novosad (born in 1994), a resident of the village of Verba, was killed. He had been considered missing under special circumstances while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Novobakhmutivka in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region since April 20, 2023.
Faithful to his military oath, Mystyslav Novosad stood in defense of his native land and Ukraine until his last breath.
According to the order of the head of the Verba territorial community, days of mourning have been declared from September 17, 2025, until the day of the funeral.
