In addition to losing her license, the woman is required to pay 665 UAH in court fees.
According to the ruling, the accident occurred on March 23, 2026, in Zarichne, when around 7:00 PM, the driver of a Mercedes struck a wild deer and left the scene. The police were informed about the injured animal by a local resident.
During the court proceedings, Alla Denisyuk stated that she was driving with a child and claimed that the deer suddenly ran onto the road, making it impossible to avoid the collision. She also noted that the impact was minor and that she left the accident scene after hearing a frightful noise.
However, witnesses confirmed that the driver was speeding without her headlights on, which was documented in the police report and video evidence presented in court.
Judge Andriy Didyk found the driver guilty under Article 124 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and imposed a penalty of revoking her right to operate vehicles for one year, as well as a financial compensation of 665 UAH.
Boris the deer has lived in the village of Zarichne in the Rivne region for about seven years. Local residents feed him during the warm months, and in winter he returns to the forest. Boris gained popularity through social media videos, and he even has a dedicated page on TikTok.
After the incident, veterinarians from various cities fought to save the deer. When the animal began to feel better, it walked back toward the forest on its own. However, it was later found multiple times in swamps, where it received injections and assistance to recover. Recently, Boris has gone missing.
