On April 27, the Dubno community laid to rest the defender of Ukraine, soldier Dmytro Tsuriia.

Unfortunately, on April 12, 2026, the serviceman passed away in the area of his military unit in Dnipropetrovsk region. He was only 31 years old.
Military personnel, city residents, and concerned community members came to pay their respects to the Hero.
In Independence Square, priests from the Dubno deanery of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, led by Dean Father Vasyl Lozynskyi, conducted a memorial service.
After the farewell ceremony, the mourning procession proceeded to the St. Nicholas Monastery in the city of Dubno, where the burial rites took place. The soldier’s final resting place is the Alley of Glory. Dmytro is survived by his mother, grandmother, son, brother, aunt, and uncle.
