A farewell ceremony was held in Dubno for the fallen defender, Lieutenant Oleksiy Kravchuk.

He arrived in the Dubno community with his family in April 2022 from Skadovsk after the occupation of the left bank of Kherson region. In his hometown, he worked as a law enforcement officer and soon after joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Oleksiy Kravchuk was the commander of a machine gun platoon in a mechanized battalion and carried out combat missions in the Kupiansk direction, where, unfortunately, he was killed on August 17, 2024.
At the farewell ceremony, attended by family, community members, and military comrades, priests of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine held a memorial prayer.
After the memorial service, the mourning procession headed to the St. Ilya Cathedral in the city of Dubno, where the funeral rites took place. Oleksiy Kravchuk was laid to rest in the local Alley of Glory.
The Hero is survived by his wife, children, and parents. We express our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
