The traffic accident occurred on November 13 at around 5:40 PM on the “Ustyluh-Lutsk-Rivne” highway near the village of Zorya.

Preliminary data indicates that the driver of the minibus “Mercedes”, a 58-year-old local resident, hit a 69-year-old woman from the village of Starozhukiv, who was crossing the roadway at an unmarked location.
As a result of her injuries, the woman died at the scene of the accident.
According to law enforcement, the driver was sober at the time of the incident.
Investigators have initiated criminal proceedings under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for liability for violations of traffic safety rules that resulted in a person’s death. As part of the investigation, the vehicle has been seized.
