On February 14 at 05:57, a fire broke out in a two-apartment residential building on I. Franka Street in the village of Klevan, Rivne District.

This is reported by Rivne24

Emergency units from the 4th and 2nd State Fire and Rescue Services, as well as firefighters from the volunteer fire team “Odek” and the military unit from the village of Orzhiv, were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, rescuers found that the roof of the building was completely engulfed in flames. They immediately began extinguishing the fire using firefighting substances.

Due to the high fire load, there was a risk of the flames spreading to a neighboring residential building. Thanks to the prompt actions of the rescuers, this was avoided.

During the fire, a man sustained thermal burns to his upper limbs and torso. He managed to escape from the burning premises and was hospitalized at the burn center of the Rivne Regional Clinical Hospital.

The fire destroyed the roofing and ceilings of the building. The causes of the fire and the extent of the damage are being investigated.
