In the Rivne region, 18 hospitals offer free long-term nursing care services for internally displaced persons (IDPs). This project is implemented through a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine. All expenses are covered by the medical guarantees program, making this type of medical assistance accessible to patients.

This new service package includes a combination of nursing care, social support, and psychological assistance for individuals who have lost their homes due to the war and require long-term care.
Currently, there are already 192 bed spaces opened in the Rivne region for providing long-term nursing care for IDPs. Plans for next year include signing agreements with two more hospitals. Services are already available, and currently, there are 9 patients in four facilities.
Main Services of Long-Term Nursing Care
- Medical care — carrying out medical prescriptions, performing medical procedures, monitoring health status;
- Specialized and general care, psychological support;
- Provision of housing and necessary items;
- At least four meals a day in accordance with the Ministry of Health standards;
- Social support — assistance in restoring documents, finding housing, and obtaining social services.
The duration of stay in the medical facility is up to 30 calendar days per year for one person.
