In the Rivne region, law enforcement has announced charges against an official for negligence during the renovation of a lyceum.

The investigator from the investigative department found that in 2023, during the signing of initial accounting documents between a private company and the capital construction department, a 42-year-old resident of Rivne failed to take necessary measures to verify the accuracy of the cost of construction materials and did not ascertain the compliance of the purchased products and structures with quality requirements.
As a result, the contractor purchased equipment at inflated prices, leading to significant losses for the state, exceeding one million hryvnias.
The investigator, under the procedural guidance of the Rivne regional prosecutor’s office, informed the 42-year-old suspect of the charges.
The court has assigned a preventive measure in the form of personal obligation for the suspect.
