General Syrskiy Awards Honorary Distinctions to Officers from Rivne Region

Andriy Kroka and Serhiy Buzivskyi – Officers from Rivne Region

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskiy, awarded the officers for their courage and heroism. Andriy Kroka received the Honorary Distinction “Steel Cross,” while Serhiy Buzivskyi was awarded the “Cross of the Brave.”

Andriy Kroka, a graduate of the National University of Water Management and Nature Use, has been serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine since March 2014. Since January 2025, he has held the position of commander of a mechanized battalion, actively participating in combat operations in the Pokrovsk direction. Due to his determination and skilled actions, a significant number of enemy forces and equipment were destroyed.

Serhiy Buzivskyi, also a graduate of the same university, received the military rank of junior lieutenant in 2005. After being mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine on October 31, 2024, he carried out complex combat missions as the deputy commander of a rifle company. Under his command, the unit held the defense for 78 days, inflicting significant losses on the occupiers despite constant shelling.
