An incident of illegal logging has been recorded in the territory of the PEC, near the village of Karpylivka in Rivne region.

On October 17, 2025, during state environmental control activities in the form of patrolling, inspectors from the Polissia District Environmental Protection Agency discovered freshly cut stumps of pine trees. Four stumps were found, covered with dry needles and bark.
The fact of illegal logging has been documented in the Inspection Report. The individuals involved in this activity have not yet been identified.
According to estimates conducted by the Eco-inspection, the damage caused by the illegal logging amounts to 61,265 UAH 79 kopecks.
