Eco-inspectors of the Polissya region recorded illegal logging of green plantings in a roadside forest strip in Rivne region, with damages amounting to nearly 450 thousand UAH.

On May 12, 2026, state inspectors for environmental protection of the Polissya region discovered the fact of cutting and uprooting green plantings that performed an important function as a protective forest strip along the highway between the settlements of Bokiyma and Demydivka.
In connection with these circumstances, a police investigative team was called to the scene, which, together with eco-inspectors, surveyed the area and provided necessary explanations regarding the recorded facts.
During the survey, it was established that 42 trees of various species, including acacia, maple, linden, and hornbeam, had been illegally cut down. According to the calculations made, the amount of damage caused to the environment is 441,079.45 UAH.
