As of the end of January to October 2025, taxpayers of the environmental tax in the Rivne region transferred 89 million hryvnias to budgets of various levels. This is an 8% increase compared to the same period last year, which amounts to an additional 7 million hryvnias.

For comparison, during the corresponding period in 2024, 82 million hryvnias were paid in environmental tax.
Of the total revenue in 2025, 63 million hryvnias were directed to the state budget, while 26 million hryvnias went to local budgets.
Entities engaged in the following activities are required to pay the environmental tax:
- emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere from stationary sources;
- discharges into water bodies;
- waste disposal;
- generation of radioactive waste.
