Yesterday, during a patrol of Vidinska Street in Rivne, inspectors noticed a man who, upon seeing a police vehicle, abruptly changed direction and began to behave suspiciously.

The police decided to check the individual. During the conversation, he was clearly nervous and stumbled over his answers, prompting the inspectors to conduct a superficial search.
In the backpack of the 23-year-old man, the patrol officers found four polyethylene zip bags containing a crystalline substance of a greenish color, resembling drugs, wrapped in red insulating tape. Another similar bag was found in the pocket of his pants.
Since the incident had signs of a criminal offense, an investigative team was called to the scene. Until their arrival, the patrol officers secured the area.
The man is currently detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
A criminal proceeding has been opened under Part 2 of Article 307 (illegal acquisition, storage with the intent to sell, as well as illegal sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs, committed repeatedly) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
