This is reported by Rivne24
In September of this year, during a patrol on Mlynivska Street in the city of Dubno, a community police officer noticed a 44-year-old resident of the village of Mlyniv behaving suspiciously and showing signs of nervousness. During a superficial check, law enforcement officers discovered 115 rounds of 5.45 mm caliber ammunition in his briefcase.
The investigator informed the suspect of the crime under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of military ammunition).
The court imposed a preventive measure in the form of nighttime house arrest, which the man is currently serving. The pre-trial investigation has been completed, and the materials of the criminal proceedings have been submitted to the court.
Recently, the court issued a verdict, sentencing the man to 3 years and 5 months of imprisonment. However, the verdict has not yet entered into legal force and can be appealed within 30 days.
