Yesterday, on Basivkutska Street in Rivne, the patrol police stopped a Renault Megane that had run a red light.

During the document check, signs of alcohol intoxication were detected in the 35-year-old driver. The man agreed to undergo a medical examination, the results of which confirmed the presence of alcohol in his blood – 1.53 promille.
A report was filed against the offender under part 2 of Article 122 (Running a Red Light) and a protocol under part 1 of Article 130 (Driving Under the Influence) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (KUPAP).
Additionally, today at midnight at the intersection of Vyacheslav Chornovil, Soborna, and Mitskevich Streets, the patrol stopped a Volkswagen whose driver also ran a red light.
Upon checking the documents, it was found that the license plate on the vehicle did not correspond to its make. The 25-year-old driver also showed signs of intoxication, but he refused to undergo an examination on-site and at the medical facility.
The police filed against this offender:
• a protocol under part 1 of Article 130 (Driving Under the Influence) of KUPAP;
• a report under part 1 of Article 121-3 (Driving or Operating a Vehicle with a License Plate Not Belonging to That Vehicle) of KUPAP.
