In just the past day, rescuers from the Rivne region responded three times to extinguish soot fires in the chimneys of residential buildings.

The incidents occurred in three localities:
- village of Myrohoshcha, Myrohoshchanska community, Dubno district — the call came in at 07:50;
- village of Koloverty, Koretska community, Rivne district — at 10:00;
- village of Velyki Selyshcha, Sosnivska community, Rivne district — at 11:24.
Rescuers managed to prevent the destruction of homes, but such incidents are a serious warning sign of danger.
The combustion temperature of soot in a chimney can exceed 1000°C, leading to the cracking of bricks, destruction of ceilings, and rapid spread of fire to the roof of the house.
