Man with Burns Injured in Fire in Rivne Region

On January 29 at 10:22 PM, the Rivne Region Emergency Service received a report of a fire at a private household in the village of Spasiv in the Mizoch Territorial Community.

An emergency response unit from the 26th State Fire and Rescue Division in the town of Mizoch was dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, rescuers found that the fire had engulfed one of the rooms in the residential building. Firefighting equipment was used to extinguish the blaze. The firefighting process lasted about two hours.

It was determined that before the arrival of the rescuers, local residents managed to evacuate a man born in 1957, who was then handed over to medical personnel. As a result of the fire, he sustained second-degree thermal burns covering approximately 5% of his body surface and was hospitalized.

The fire damaged the ceiling over an area of 4 square meters, as well as a wall and floor covering an area of 3 square meters, along with household items. One unit of special equipment and five rescuers were involved in the firefighting efforts. The causes of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently being investigated by specialists.
