Oleg Perebiynis was born on January 22, 1973, in Rivne. He studied at Rivne Lyceum No. 13 and later trained as a locksmith at Rivne Vocational Technical School No. 10. After his studies, he worked abroad as a driver, but upon learning about the start of the full-scale invasion, he returned home from Poland on February 26.

In May 2022, Oleg joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a volunteer. After completing combat medic courses, he became one of the best medics on the front lines, despite having no prior medical experience. His diligence and eagerness to learn allowed him to quickly acquire the necessary skills.

Oleg was not only a medic but also a moral support for his comrades. He always found ways to uplift them with treats, gifts, and letters from loved ones, saving not only the bodies but also the souls of his fellow soldiers.

On May 26, Oleg sustained shrapnel wounds due to artillery shelling in the Bakhmut direction. Despite his injuries, he continued to fulfill his duties as a senior combat medic. Although rehabilitation began, unfortunately, it was already too late.

On February 29, 2024, the heart of the Hero stopped.
