Today, November 15, at approximately 5:15 AM, an accident occurred on the “Ustyluh-Lutsk-Rivne” highway near the village of Obaryv.

Preliminary investigation data indicate that a 22-year-old motorcycle rider on a “Yamaha” from the village of Starozhukiv failed to maintain a safe distance, did not choose a safe speed, and collided with a “Mercedes-Benz Sprinter” minibus driven by a 37-year-old resident of the city of Kivertsi in the Volyn region.
As a result of this accident, both the motorcycle rider and his 25-year-old passenger from the village of Zastav’ya sustained injuries. Both suffered multiple traumas and were hospitalized.
The investigator has initiated a pre-trial investigation, and the minibus driver was sober. Biological samples were taken from the motorcycle rider to determine his state of intoxication.
