Yesterday, November 14, 2025, the newly built church of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate was consecrated in the village of Sudobychi, Dubno District.
This is reported by Rivne24
It is worth noting that in September 2015, the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church in Sudobychi came under the management of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
The rector of the newly built church is Archpriest Andriy Mykytiuk. The construction of the church was financed by businessman Andriy Biba, known for his controversial reputation and as the owner of the “BRSM-Nafta” gas station network.
Recently, Andriy Biba has not been residing in Ukraine, managing his business from Italy. According to media reports, he left after the explosion at the BRSM oil depot in 2015, which resulted in the deaths of six people. His business partner was former Minister of Energy in Viktor Yanukovych’s government, Eduard Stavytsky, who fled to Israel after 2014.
According to information from various sources, Andriy Biba has also financed the construction of many churches of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate and has received awards from the Russian Orthodox Church. Additionally, his name is associated with the financing of the pro-Russian project of Anatoliy Shariy’s party.
