The head coach of Rivne’s Veres, Oleg Shandruk, summarized the match against Poltava, where his team achieved a hard-fought victory.

Shandruk noted that the team was not prepared for the large number of long passes, aerial duels, and second-ball play. He emphasized that the issue was not with the opponent’s tactical changes, but with the lack of ability to adapt during the first half. “In my opinion, we looked better in the second half,” the coach said.
According to Oleg Shandruk, during the break, the players independently recognized the need to win aerial battles and second balls, which became the foundation for improving their performance in the second half. “It was a great men’s conversation, and the players started to demand more from themselves,” he added.
Speaking about the newcomers, the coach mentioned that adaptation is ongoing, including to the weather conditions, as, for example, Fabrício had not seen snow until now. “It’s a bit of a shock – you need to get used to it,” Shandruk explained. He expressed satisfaction with the actions of the newcomers, noting that they feel good within the team, which is important for their adaptation.
The coach also pointed out that with the arrival of new players, the team has gained variability and a new quality in attack, which has intensified competition. “I believe we will become a more effective team,” he emphasized.
Oleg Shandruk also reported that the team is actively looking for new players, particularly in light of Aydin’s departure. “This was unexpected, so we continue our selection, although I don’t want to talk about specific positions,” the coach added.
