Raids Against Illegal Fishermen Continue in Rivne Region

On September 9–10, 2025, specialists from the State Environmental Inspection of Biological Resources conducted another round of raid inspections in the Rivne district.

As a result of these activities:

  • public inspectors recorded 4 cases of violations of environmental legislation;
  • 4 administrative protocols were drawn up in accordance with Article 85 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (violations of the rules for the use of wildlife, specifically the Rules for Amateur Fishing and the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Hunting Management and Hunting”);
  • 4 individuals were held administratively liable.

Additionally, in the area of the Khrinnytske Reservoir in the Dubno district, inspectors discovered and seized illegal fishing gear – a 30-meter gill net. The owner of the gear could not be identified.

Overall, from September 5 to 10, 2025, state and public inspectors in the region identified 8 cases of violations, 8 individuals were held administratively liable, and the total amount of imposed fines was 1,088 hryvnias.

On September 12, control measures were also conducted at water bodies in the Varash district.

During the inspection at Lake Bukhovo, two illegal fishing nets totaling 60 meters in length were discovered and seized. The owners of these nets could also not be identified.
