Рівне попрощається із Захисником Сергієм Бандрівським

Serhiy Bandrivskyi, born on October 25, 1973, in Sakhalin, later moved with his family to Lviv region, to Drohobych, where he spent most of his childhood.

This is reported by Rivne24

He studied at the local general education school and graduated from a specialized school for warrant officers, as well as obtaining two higher education degrees.

For most of his life, Serhiy Bandrivskyi served in the military. Since 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation as part of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozhskiy. During combat operations in the Luhansk region, he was wounded, after which he was demobilized but continued to serve in the National Guard. After returning to civilian life, he engaged in entrepreneurship.

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Serhiy once again took up the defense of his homeland: first as part of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, and then in the 150th Brigade.

Unfortunately, 50-year-old Captain Serhiy Bandrivskyi was killed on August 16, 2024, while performing a combat mission in Donetsk region. For a long time, he was considered missing in action, and only recently was his body identified and returned to his family for a dignified burial.

He is survived by his wife, son, mother, and brother.

Farewell to Serhiy Bandrivskyi will take place on Wednesday, June 3, at 10:00 AM in Independence Square in Rivne. A memorial service will be held at the Holy Protection Cathedral, and the burial will take place at the Alley of Heroes in the “Nove” cemetery in the regional center.
