A tragic incident occurred on June 2, around 07:30, in the village of Novostav at the “Klevan-Petryka” railway station.

According to the train driver of the “Warsaw-Kyiv” route, a 17-year-old local resident was walking along the tracks and suddenly decided to cross them without ensuring the safety of his actions.
Unfortunately, due to the injuries sustained, the boy, who was wearing headphones, died at the scene.
Investigative authorities have initiated criminal proceedings for violating safety rules of movement or operation of railway transport, which led to a person’s death under part 2 of article 276 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
