The farewell for Oleksandr Vozniuk and Oleksandr Liutko will take place on Tuesday, May 12, at 10:00 AM in Independence Square in Rivne. A memorial service will be held at the Holy Protection Cathedral. The servicemen will be buried at the Heroes’ Alley of the “Nove” cemetery in the regional center.

Oleksandr Vozniuk was born on March 1, 1977, in Rivne. He studied at secondary school No. 23 and later obtained the profession of a tractor driver at the Sarny vocational technical school.
After completing his studies, Oleksandr worked as a bus driver. In the spring of 2025, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“He quickly adapted to service, and his extensive driving experience was invaluable. After training at the training ground, he was stationed in the Zaporizhzhia direction – he was the driver of the assault battalion ‘Da Vinci.’ He was a person who always tried to help everyone and had many friends. In his free time, he loved spending time outdoors, by the water, and going to the village,” said the Defender’s daughter.
Unfortunately, 49-year-old serviceman Oleksandr Vozniuk was killed on May 3, 2026, while performing a combat mission in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The Defender is survived by his wife, two children, and mother.
Oleksandr Liutko was born on August 20, 1992, in Rivne. He studied at secondary school No. 11 and vocational technical school No. 10.
In July 2024, Oleksandr Liutko was mobilized into the National Guard of Ukraine.
“Among his comrades and command, Oleksandr was held in high regard and respected – he was valued for his dedication, strength of spirit, and humanity. He loved his mother immensely, was always a reliable support for his family and friends, and helped them. In civilian life, he enjoyed fishing and motorcycles,” said the Defender’s sister.
Unfortunately, 32-year-old soldier Oleksandr Liutko was killed on May 23, 2025, while performing a combat mission in Donetsk region. For a long time, the warrior was considered missing in action, but recently his body was identified and returned to his family for a dignified burial.
The Defender is survived by his parents and sister.
