Rivne Blood Center Received New Equipment for Plasmaferesis

The Rivne Regional Clinical Hospital named after Yuriy Semenyuk has received a modern imported device “Autopheresis-C” from Fenwal Inc. and Fresenius Kabi AG.

This is reported by Rivne24

This device will be transferred to the hospital from the regional blood service center.

The request for new equipment came from the hospital, and its necessity was later approved by the relevant commission of the regional council. The cost of the device is approximately 200 thousand hryvnias.

The equipment is designed for performing plasmaferesis — a modern blood purification procedure during which venous blood is separated into a liquid part (plasma) and cells. Plasma containing toxins, antibodies, and pathogens is removed, while blood cells are returned to the patient.

This procedure helps reduce the level of harmful substances in the body, decreases the burden on the immune system, and promotes regeneration. The “Autopheresis-C” device can also be used for automatic plasma collection.
