The State Ecological Inspection of the Polissya Region has initiated legal proceedings against the LLC “Managing Company ‘Rivne Home Service’ for environmental damage caused by the illegal destruction of green spaces.

The case was opened following a complaint from a resident of Rivne, which was submitted to the Inspection on June 26, 2024. She reported the destruction of a tree on the yard of a building located on General Bezruchko Street.
As a result of the investigation, it was determined that a linden tree with a trunk diameter of 42 cm had been illegally damaged to the point of halting its growth. This violation is serious as it contradicts the requirements of environmental protection legislation.
The company that carried out the work did not provide any permits necessary for the removal of green spaces. This fact is confirmed by the inspection report and photographic materials collected during the check.
According to calculations made by the Inspection, the damage caused to the state amounts to 1,900 UAH. The claim for voluntary compensation for damages has not been fulfilled.
In this regard, the State Ecological Inspection of the Polissya Region has filed a lawsuit demanding the recovery of the specified amount. If the claim is satisfied, the funds will be directed towards environmental protection measures, which will be financed through a special fund of the budget of the Rivne City Territorial Community.
