The traffic accident occurred on October 30 at around 15:10 on Rivne Street in the village of Velykyi Zhytin.

According to preliminary data, the driver of the “Opel Movano” van, a 38-year-old resident of Rivne, ran over a 10-year-old boy who is a local resident.
As a result of the accident, the child sustained a skull base fracture and a lumbar spine contusion, and he was urgently hospitalized.
According to the examination results, the driver was sober.
The investigator has initiated a pre-trial investigation into the violation of traffic safety rules under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The circumstances of the incident are currently being established.
