Recently, patrol officers received a call about a case of domestic violence on Vidinska Street in Rivne.
This is reported by Rivne24
At the scene, a 44-year-old woman informed the police that her ex-husband, 45, despite an active emergency restraining order, continues to perpetrate psychological abuse against her.
The police conducted a risk assessment and determined a high level of danger for the woman.
A protocol was drawn up against the abuser under part 3 of Article 173-2 (Repeated domestic violence within a year) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, and a new emergency restraining order was issued for 10 days.
The emergency restraining order is a special measure to combat domestic violence, applied by the police for the immediate protection of the victim. Failure to comply with such an order is an offense that may lead to administrative and, in some cases, criminal liability. Ignoring the order only complicates the situation for the abuser and can have serious consequences.
