In Rivne Region, a displaced woman was shown the door of the premises where she had lived for almost two years. For several days now, she has been forced to live on the street.

This woman is named Olena; she arrived from Donetsk region in the spring of 2024. She found shelter in a sanatorium in Rivne Region, where she spent a significant part of her life. However, now, as she recounts, she has no way to even enter the building to warm up.

The director of the sanatorium, Bohdan Levshenyuk, noted that when Olena was settled in, she signed a contract that outlined the rules of residence. Unfortunately, the contract with the woman was terminated due to disorder in her room. According to the director, she turned her living space into a garbage dump and failed to comply with the requirements for maintaining order.

Olena refused to move, despite being offered a vehicle to transport her belongings to a new place of residence, as reported in a story by ITV.

Neighbors who lived with Olena repeatedly complained about her. In particular, Ms. Nina from Pokrovskyi district, who moved into a room with Olena, could not find common ground with her. Another neighbor who arrived from Kherson also did not spend the night in the room with Ms. Olena.

Mr. Leonid, who came from Dobropillia, also confirms that he could not find common ground with the woman. He personally saw how much rubbish was removed from her room.

Currently, more than 50 displaced persons are living in the sanatorium in Dubno, all from the Donetsk region, each with their own problems. They are all united by a common misfortune.

The management of the facility assures that it will continue to provide shelter and assistance to those in need. Currently, renovation work is underway at the sanatorium, as the number of internally displaced persons is constantly increasing. A new place of residence has already been prepared for Olena, but her consent is needed, as returning to where she previously lived is no longer possible – such an opportunity is categorically excluded at the facility.
