Roman Ulitko, born on August 3, 1971, lived in the village of Vychivka in the Zarichne community. He served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the reserve company and held the rank of junior sergeant. Vitaliy Yankovsky was born on October 27, 1974, in Kazakhstan. As a child, he lived in the territory of the Russian Federation, where he completed his schooling. Despite the Russian-speaking environment, Vitaliy always felt like a Ukrainian. In the summer, he would visit Rivne region to see his grandparents. He studied at the Kursk and later at the Volyn Spiritual Seminaries, where he became a priest at the Lutsk Cathedral. He completed his postgraduate studies at the Spiritual Academy in Lviv and worked as a lecturer at the Volyn Seminary. He joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in July 2024, where he served as a miner and trained new recruits. During his service, he was deployed to hot spots on the front lines, including Pokrovsk. Vitaliy was killed on September 28, 2025, as a result of enemy artillery shelling in Donetsk region.
Dmytro Kurashyk, born on August 4, 1987, in the city of Chita in the Russian Federation, moved with his family to Rivne at the age of four. He studied at School No. 19 and trained as a welder. For nearly his entire conscious life, Dmytro dedicated himself to military service, signing a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2008. In 2015, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). The life of the senior soldier was abruptly cut short on October 2 during his leave due to ischemic heart disease. Dmytro is survived by his wife, son, father, and sister.
The servicemen were buried at the “Nove” cemetery in the city of Rivne.
