The Rivne region bid farewell to soldier Valeriy Yakymchuk, who hailed from the Zdolbuniv community. Valeriy received his education at Zdolbuniv Secondary School I-III levels No. 6, and later studied at the National University of Water Management and Nature Resources Use, where he specialized in gas and heat supply engineering.

In September 2022, Valeriy joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Initially, he underwent training in the United Kingdom, and later in Italy. During combat operations, he served in the 503rd Separate Marine Battalion and held the rank of sergeant.
